A cone beam CT (CBCT) scan and intraoral digital scans are performed, which allows the surgeon to digitally plan the ideal 3D position for the implant. Using the digital workup, a surgical guide is fabricated in-house using a 3D printer. This guide transfers all the necessary information during the procedure, ensuring accuracy and precision. During the implant surgery, a bone graft may be placed to enhance the implant’s stability and ensure long-term success. The surgeon will assess the implant’s initial stability, and if adequate, a screw-retained temporary restoration is immediately fabricated and delivered on the same day. This allows the patient to leave the office with a functional and esthetically pleasing tooth in place.
